Gefallen: Electricity, water, and Wi-Fi all worked. That's about it.

Nicht gefallen: It's not even about the fact that upon arrival there wasn't a single sheet of toilet paper, while an already-opened bottle of water was "offered" in the fridge. Nor about the cockroaches, already mentioned in other posts and simply disgusting. It's also not about the key safe that sticks badly even with the correct code (they know this — it cost me several minutes too; why not just replace it for 15 euros?). Nor about the outer gate lock, which also keeps sticking — during my stay the key eventually wouldn't turn at all. Luckily the gate was already open, otherwise you'd have been locked in and forced to climb over a parapet. Since then, though, the entrance area has been left open and accessible to anyone. What I really wish I had known beforehand: this is cheap Spanish construction. The "houses" are terraced units, and the walls between them are as thin as the ones inside. When people in the neighboring HOUSE talk at normal volume, it sounds as if they were in the next room of your own. The same goes for every other noise. Mutual consideration? None whatsoever. As early as 5:57 a.m., a daily racket starts up on one side and wakes you — that is, if the large dog hasn't already been barking incessantly beforehand. And bark it does, unless you have some very firm words with them, even at 10:30 p.m. or 4:00 a.m. One night the racket began at 4:00 a.m. and continued until morning. On the other side, they've made a habit of broadcasting the TV out onto the terrace at public-viewing volume from around 6:50 p.m. — so, depending on your mood, either earplugs or turn your own program up loud enough to drown it out. Here too you have to complain late at night, otherwise it's still going at 11:00 p.m. and the night ends up very short. Had I known any of this beforehand, I would never have booked here.

Nicht gefallen: Although the grill could toast bread a separate toaster would have been better as the grill takes to long to toast and probably is more expensive to run

Gefallen: Good bed, lots of space, solarium. Cosy and clean. Good contact with owner and cleaning lady.(also very friendly people in the area)

Nicht gefallen: Maybe it would be good to have a little manual for the appliances and for the TV (only 6 channels and only news channels, not a fan!). Coffee machine did not work, broken scissors, not a lot of pots & pans for cooking, but made it work :)

Gefallen: Luckily I know the area as I owned a home on the other side of La Marina for 18 years and was using the property as a base. The kitchen was well equipped and the WiFi very good. The public swimming pool (La Marina Sports) is around a ten minute walk from the property and there is a small fee to use but worth the entry fee. The property is in close proximity to Tourist Information, the Dialaprix supermarket and should you want to travel further and have no car you can book a coach trip using Cala Rosa Tours which offer a pick up from the supermarket. There are a few restaurants nearby but better ones are the Grill House, around a half hour walk away or the Chinese near the Consum supermarket on the other side near Barclays Estate agents. If you get the chance to visit the beach I and you love Paella then you should book a table for the lunch time at Candela Restaurant, especially on Sundays as it is used by locals too.

Nicht gefallen: The approach to the property was very stoney. I travelled with my 17 year old son who was going to sleep on the sofa bed but there was no extra bedding. Also the property is infested with cockroaches, there were at least 20 dead under the wooden unit and sofas, which we saw when my son accidentally dropped his mobile phone between them and had to move the sofa. The owner saying that Spain has a cockroach problem is not entirely true as I owned a property for 18 years and the outside was sprayed on a regular basis and use of products down wash basins and bath tubs etc. ensured they were not in the home. The roller blind on the front fell out of the roller mechanism one night leaving us unable to get out but someone quickly came and shoved a screwdriver in the top but we were unable to use for the rest of our stay and it went unrepaired. The bedding needs upgrading to cotton as it is very poor quality and better towels too. Pillows for the sofa bed could be left in the wardrobe. I believe the sofas need to be changed as the cockroaches are inside. The offer of a welcome pack of at least water would be useful too especially as we arrived later than expected and the supermarkets had already closed (Sunday).

Gefallen: The property was very well equipped with everything you would need your stay. Plenty of cups, glasses, crockery, pots, cooking utensils etc. Great size fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, coffee maker and a washing machine also. Comfortable couches to sit on inside and sun beds with cushions for the roof terrace. Overall the house was excellent value for money and the host was very helpful on the occasion we needed to contact him and the issue was resolved within 30 minutes. The house was ideally situated near to a supermarket and local bars and restaurants. Can highly recommend Restaurante Garden and La Estación for good. Great value for money delicious food at both.

Nicht gefallen: A more comfortable mattress would be lovely as it was very firm plus extra pillows would have been helpful. Also, larger bath towels as they were on the small side - maybe bath sheets would be better.

Gefallen: El apartamento era grande, con una amplia terraza en la parte superior, ubicado en una zona tranquila y a tan solo 10-15 mint de algunas de las playas, y podías aparcar en la misma puerta

Nicht gefallen: El apartamento estaba lleno tanto por fuera como por dentro de toda la casa de cucarachas muertas tanto grande como crías que daba mucho asco, y hasta no las encontramos vivas corriendo por la casa, que aunque estaba la casa llena de insecticidas, que menos que antes de entregar la casa se limpiase y quitasen todas las cucarachas, los utensilios de cocina si se renovaran no estaría más porque estaban desgastados y sucios y ni limpiándolos se quitaba la suciedad, lo que no nada buena presencia para cocinar con ellos, y las terrazas estaban llenas de suciedad igual
