Gefallen: Clean, spacious, plenty of balconies in all directions, pool small but perfect for a dip, staff friendly, quite location but close enough to centre and beach, excellent restaurant round the corner.

Nicht gefallen: The central air system in the bedrooms didn’t cool the bedrooms enough, but it was 40 degrees so not sure if that effect it, but the air con in the kitchen area worked very well. We did mention this to the property and they came out within 24 hours to try and sort the issue.

Nicht gefallen: No puedo decir nada, ya que todo estaba muy bien. Si acaso mencionar que por la distribución de las villas los vecinos pueden verte en la piscia.

Nicht gefallen: House stairs were a bit open with having a dog, sun terrace was a pain to access so didn’t even use it, we locked ourselves out once when one set of keys were left in the back of the door , there was a security notice on the back of the door but I think it could of been a bit more prominent on the self locking door, showers are tired

Gefallen: The villa was in a good central location for beach and 20 mins walk from centre of Nerja. Outdoor space was wonderful - different areas throughout the day for sun / shade. Kitchen was well equipped. Communication was excellent to book transfers, answer queries etc.

Nicht gefallen: Only one small thing- Pillows were a bit flat and no extra ones in villa.

Gefallen: The house was really beautiful ,lovely sun terraces ,lots of space great mountain and sea views from top terrace decent sized pool

Nicht gefallen: building work across from our accommodation was very disruptive a change of bedding or towels midweek would have cost extra we were offered the use of another apt if the noise got too loud but as it was directly across from our accommodation the property price should have been a lot cheaper and a disclosure about the noise should have been made

Gefallen: Ideal location. Best of both worlds. If you know Nerja, you'll know you need to be in a hilly area to get the views. But from Villa Ambar we had the benefit of both mountain and sea views but also a fairly flat walk to town (10 mins) The villa was spacious and had ample terraces, allowing day long opportunities to sit in the sun. Well equipped with basic essentials for washing up etc (brought my own-didnt need to!)

Nicht gefallen: The hot water runs out too quickly. Even with the back up boiler explained in the welcome pack we found 4 showers in an evening needed to be spread out to allow water to reheat.

Gefallen: We really liked the location. It's a 15 - 20 minute walk to the Balcon de l'Europe. It takes 12 -15 minutes to walk to the bus station. There is a small supermarket 3minutes away and a larger one 5 minutes walk away. It is an easy walk to the beach, about 10 minutes max, but a very steep hill to climb if you walk back the same way. There is a much easier walk back that takes about 20 minutes and a couple of bars/restaurants en route that are worth stopping for drinks or food. There is a bar very close to the villa, but it did not disturb us in any way. The villa itself was very comfortable and has a spacious living area upstairs, the bedrooms are on the ground level. The en-suite and bathroom are a decent size and showers were good. There is a WC off the living area, but we seldom used it. There is a good size balcony to the front and rear of the living area. Lovely views from front balcony and from roof top terrace which is accessed from the rear balcony up a narrow spiral staircase - either are perfect for having a drink, watching the sun go down. Kitchen well equipped, plenty glasses, mugs , cutlery etc. The pool is quite small - 5 strokes and you swim from end to end. However it was adequate for the 5 of us and a welcome cool down in the afternoon. There is an outdoor shower at the pool and a couple of umbrellas as well as the sun loungers and a table and chairs. The villa was very clean and there was washing up liquid and a couple of dishwasher tabs, a clothe to wipe up surfaces and a couple of tea towels provided. We felt very safe and secure in the villa. The day after our arrival, we had to call the local help as we had difficulty with the air conditioning in the bedrooms and the WC in the living area was not flushing. Someone came out within an hour and showed us how to operate the air conditioning downstairs and tried to repair the WC. They needed a new part for the WC and it was repaired 2 days later. I call that good service.

Nicht gefallen: There was little not to like about this villa. A bigger pool would have been good, but it was adequate.
